HOW IT WORKS
Preventative care shouldn’t be out of reach. Our low-cost Vaccine & Microchip Clinics make it easier for pet families throughout the Metro East to keep their dogs and cats protected, healthy and right where they belong: at home with the people who love them.
All clinics are drive-thru. Please stay comfortably in your vehicle until instructed otherwise. Cats are welcome, but must be in carriers. One cat per carrier.
We can ONLY accept cash or check.

A writing utensil will be required; MEHS will not have pens available for public use. We encourage owners to leave their human kiddos at home if possible to help streamline our process.
Clinics are open to everyone, regardless of income or zip code, and no appointment is needed.
Clinics are held monthly, March through October, at our Highland shelter at 510 W. Monroe Street.

WHY MICROCHIP?
Collars and tags can get lost. A microchip gives your pet a permanent form of identification that can help shelters and veterinary clinics reconnect them with you if they ever go missing.
MEHS microchips include lifetime registration with no annual fee.
We love any excuse to talk about a tool that helps keep pets and families together, so we wrote a blog about why microchipping your pets matters!

Thanks to Petco Love's Vaccinated & Loved initiative, canine and feline distemper vaccines are available at no cost while supplies last.
