SURRENDER
PET

We understand that sometimes it may be necessary to give up a pet and we will do our very best to place yours into a new home. However, shelters are places with many animals and strangers, new routines, and can be a bit stressful to animals that are accustomed to being in a home environment.

Shelters should be used as a last resort.

If you have found a stray animal, please contact animal control or police department for the town/city you have found the animal in. Chances are if someone is looking for that pet, they will start with their local animal control or police department.

Surrender requests are subject to approval by shelter management.
Please allow 72 hours for your request to be processed.
We will contact you by phone or email to discuss further.

the appointment may be

canceled or postponed.

Please note

Items such as favorite toys, food, and bedding are welcome but may not remain with your pet throughout their entire stay.

REHOME
YOUR PET

For pet owners who can’t keep their pets, they can use the quick pet upload form on adoptapet.com. Relinquishers can quickly create a pet profile for their pet filled with info on the pet’s personality, ideal living situation, and photos. They can even upload medical records to later be transferred to the new adopter. Once approved, pets appear alongside the hundreds of thousands of adoptable pets on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
