Ha pasado un año entero desde que Newt, exalumna de MEHS y la gatita favorita de todos en el sendero MCT, falleció y dejó a nuestra comunidad desconsolada. Este octubre, volveremos a recorrer los senderos para la segunda edición del Newt Scoot el 4 de octubre de 2025, ¡y esperamos que nos acompañen!

In October 2024, in partnership with MCT Trails and Metro East Park and Recreation District, we hosted the first ever Newt Scoot and placed a permanent bench in his favorite napping spot in his honor with your support.
This October, we're hitting the trails once again for the 2nd Annual Newt Scoot on October 4th, 2025, and we hope you'll join us! We're back for another memorial fun ride celebrating the adventurous, loving spirit and legend of Newt, but this year, we’re rolling out from a new location at Miner Park in Glen Carbon, IL. You'll still enjoy the same scenic 11.5-mile loop along the MCT Goshen, Heritage, and Nickel Plate Trails, passing by Newt's memorial bench & statue along the way.
